c/o chamber orchestra was formed in 2014 and is made up of 30 musicians, with no conductor and no fixed hierarchies. Without a conductor dictating the interpretation, the musicians work together in every rehearsal to find a compelling idea for each and every piece together.
After two successful seasons with concerts in Germany and soloists such as the jazz trombonist Nils Landgren and the violinist Cornelia Gartemann of the Berlin Philharmonic, c/o moved into its 2016 season by expanding its education work. Starting with a collaboration with Øresunds Solist, the orchestra had its debut concert at Tivoli in Copenhagen. This was followed by concerts and a recording in Berlin with the Spanish flautist Francisco Lopez Martin. Francisco recently won 2nd prize in the ARD Music competition 2015 and is, no doubt, a rising star.
Gaia and Ruth are both original members of the orchestra.
